Collaborative model between HealthServe and other healthcare stakeholders

HealthServe has published its guiding framework on “Addressing mental health and psychosocial aspects of covid-19 outbreak among migrant workers in Singapore” that currently aids local medical teams and hospitals in their response planning.

It showcases the collaborative model between HealthServe and key stakeholders in the psychosocial response to COVID-19 for migrant workers in Singapore. This is a local adaptation of the Interim Briefing Note Addressing Mental Health and Psychosocial Aspects of COVID-19 Outbreak developed by the IASC’s Reference Group on Mental Health and Psychosocial Support in Emergency Settings. This document seeks to serve as a guiding framework to supplement mental health initiatives on the ground.

This psychosocial care document highlights the current mental health needs of migrant workers and the recommended support activities to address these concerns by NGOs, Government Agencies, Dormitory Operators, Employers as well as Healthcare Professionals.

Healthcare professionals working with migrants workers can now have quick access to COVID-19 and chronic care related information, informational posters on mental health, questionnaires and flashcards and communicative boards, readily available in English, Tamil, Bengali and Chinese, for use at screening centers and isolation facilities.

Content is continuously updated as we are working with various parties to collate more information that will be helpful not only for the current situation today but for the continuation of improving healthcare for migrant workers in future.
